About

About me

I am currently a full time mature student at the Nottingham Trent University, studying and undergraduate degree in International Relations with Chinese, which I started aged 36 in October 2008

Previous to that I had spent a year living and working in Toronto, Canada and before that I had taken the decision that it is was about time that I saw some of the world and went travelling from Christmas 2006 until August 2007. I wanted to record much of what I saw by way of photographs during this time friends and family made very encouraging noises about the quality and "eye" I had for composing images, which encouraged me to invest in better equipment.

My name is Joe Hendley and I originate from Barrow in Furness just outside the Lake District in Cumbria, England (for any international visitors to this site!)

My parents would often take me up to the Lakes where I gained my interest in art and photography of all things natural.

Now my main subjects for photography are landscape, macro and abstract forms of anything nature provides, but I also enjoy architecture and old school graffiti art.
